My sister called me up from California this morning. Apparently she got to go to a comicon in San Diego for FREE and she got me stuff. So far, I've heard, Fushigi Yuugi and Full Metal A. Manga, first 2 dvd's from Full Metal Alchemist the series, and a comic call Emo (never actually read it) signed by its up and coming artist. Yah me! My dream, go to Yaoi con someday! Spend loads and loads of cash, then go to Japan, and spend loads and loads of cash there.
Oh, yeah, gotta mention what happened at the HP book premiere yesterday. Well, pretty much my bestfriend Tina and I got this brilliant idea to go to our local bookstore at 5am (books given at 9:00am) because the newspaper informed us that there would be prizes given at 7am (LIARS!) . Actually got there at 5:45 though. We were thus, the first in line, spent a few minutes talking before the second person showed up and informed us that 20 people had won line vouchers on the radio the day before. Thus, Tina and I would actually be # 21 and 22 to get the book. Can you believe it! All in all, very sad for me, but even worse for my best friend who had to work at 10am.
At 8am, after my other best friend, Jas actually showed up for work at the bookstore, they informed us that the raffle give aways would be at 10. Bastards! They did give t-shirts, and Gameworks game cards, but I wanted the free hard back HP book set! To make a long story short, turned out I didn't even get that or the 3 hp dvd SET. I got the gamecards, but I'm not all that into Gameworks. Overall, very disappointing.
Another thing that's kinda sad is the fact that the opening was a lot more dead than everyone thought. EVERYONE in line go their books by 9:30am. Can you believe it. According to Jas the bookstore actually ordered to many copies. Guam is so dead sometimes. Must move somewhere with more comicons, and more obsessive fans like myself.
Ugh, gonna go now. Hands ache. Bye!
